LAN IM is a program that allows two computer users to communicate via a LAN or Internet connection.
When used over a LAN, a computer name only need be specified. If used via an internet connection, the IP address of the remote system must be known prior to connection.

System Requirements

OS: Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP.
HDD: At least 10MB of free space.
Connectivity: A stable connection to a LAN or the internet*

Firewall settings: Please allow the program to access the internet and LAN via port #1234.

This program has not been tested with Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.
* Depending on how the program is to be used.
Port can be configured from options. Default port is 1234.
